Bahia Street has been offering guided tours of Salvador da Bahia and the surrounding areas since 2002. Our goal is not to just provide a wide variety of lively, adventurous experiences, but to combine those experiences with a thoughtful, in-depth educational look at the people, culture, and history of the region.

We’ll explore issues of race, class, poverty, and society in Bahia and Brazil, and you’ll meet people making a difference in their communities in and around Salvador. This tour allows you to go “inside Bahia” and experience Salvador through the eyes of its African-Brazilian majority.
